Beyond Sustainability - Resilence! Many communities are focusing on being sustainable when we really want to focus on thriving and going beyond just being a sustainable. Sustainability focuses on meeting our current needs and yes, there is a need to do that however there needs to be a balanced focus on the future also.

Connecting the dots - identifying needs and connecting resources
I attended my first TEDx event two weeks ago. I had viewed numerous TED presetations through the web in the past but this was my first live experience and now I am hooked. I brought the idea to a group of community leaders in my own community and now we are starting to plan our own event. There are so many great ideas out there and this is an excellent way to collect, share and act upon them.
