Jan 3 2013: In 2012, there's been 33.514 reported cases of dengue fever in Paraguay, with almost 90% of these cases surrounding the capital city, Asunción and surrounding cities. People is concerned about dengue fever this time of the year because we had a prolongued rain season and that increases the population of aedes aegypti, increasing at the same time the number of dengue fever cases. We had mayor epidemic alerts in the coutry before because of this disease. Please help us erradicate dengue fever from our country, a major social and health issue here in Paraguay.
