I loved the delivery, always very capturing and inspiring. I hope your prediction comes true. By 2050, there may be a new "Space Travel Line" where the richest (or, most elite) group abandons Earth, leaving the mess behind.
Dec 16 2010: Being a father of 2 young kids helps me realize what "patience is a virtue" really means. Also, I realize I can't take their mother for granted. She wrote this reminder to me, "The greatest gift you can give your children is the love you give their mother. Love is more than an emotion. It is service and sacrifice. And from that will spring love."
Oct 13 2010: @Clinton Robinson +1 for saying the Gates don't understand poverty, especially the cure for it. That's why they are on this philanthropic mission. As an informaticist, her idea of collecting and using data more immediately resonates the most with me.
Oct 7 2010: I am curious, has the labeling of "western" vs. "developing" countries been a major factor to encourage foreign aids and all sort of volunteering work in regions that need "western" help, which in turn becomes a contributing factor for the decrease of the child mortality rate? Is it enough of a reason to continue with the labeling?
