  • A comment on Conversation: We need a political party devoted to maximizing the value of people's TIME.

Feb 15 2011: While Time Party does seem like a small contribution to the act itself, it's still not enough in my opinion. If we could move away from this anti-economy towards a resource-base economy, we could let people spend time the way we're suppose to, with our families. One who got it right is Jacque Fresco, with his Venus Project. Surely worth a look if you haven't heard of.

By the way Chris, you should consider sending Jacque an invite to speak, surely TED would be his ideal venue.

A comment on Talk: Van Jones: The economic injustice of plastic

Jan 20 2011: I'm wondering when US is gonna join the rest of the civilized world and get clean tap water, I mean most of Europe have had it for 50+ years. It would greatly decrease the use of plastic water bottles!

But everyone knows that these huge companies are not gonna stop using plastic unless they are forced by law or taxes! Perhaps time to get a new law in place? The more CO2 your company use, the higher the taxes?

  • A comment on Talk: John Hardy: My green school dream

Nov 18 2010: While this is a very extreme (although amazing) concept, that wouldn't fully work in a Western country, I do belive we can learn a lot from this example, and make greener schools in the rest of the world. Good talk, very inspiring!

A reply on Talk: Steven Johnson: Where good ideas come from

Sep 30 2010: I'd like to add that by broadening your views, your mind opens up to new ideas. The best tip I can give you is to travel, and travel beyond your own culture. If you have yet to visit India or China, these places would be a great starting point. And if you travel by yourself, you force yourself to meet new inspiring people.
  • A comment on Talk: Gary Wolf: The quantified self

Sep 29 2010: I think it's so amazing to see how technology adapts and helps people monitor something as important as our own health. Being in my early twenties, I can only dream of what tools will be available for my at my old age! Great speech indeed!
