Sep 23 2010: It is weird how we perceive spoken language. To me this comment had absolutely no negative annotation toward singing and dancing heritage. I understood it as in addition, there is also mathematics related heritage, which was not yet introduced to the children.
In my opinion, we would be so much further if we could learn to listen with open minds and focus on what is the message of the speaker, not analyzing sentences out of the context, word by word to find some hidden meanings.
I think this is a beautiful talk, as most of the talks on TED I have seen so far.
