Sebastian Seung: I am my connectome
I wish all my lectures would be like this one! I also amuse the bravery Sebastian has to keep on researching even realising how small what he does is as compared to the scope of the problem as a whole.

Fabian Hemmert: The shape-shifting future of the mobile phone
Absolutely, and as by far people are still physical (I mean, many fiction writers predict it can change), we need hi-tech to help us create new physical shapes. I absolutely agree that the shape should be variable, thanks now it is possible. Like a laptop, I expect a device of a future become bigger when I need it and close down when I put it in a pocket. However many scientists now move in another direction - creating laser keyboard, hologram images of the people who call you, etc - not making it physical in the sense that we can touch it, but rather creating illusion of being physical to our eyes. I hope we'll see both trends giving out more and more products sooo conventional to use.

Annie Lennox: Why I am an HIV/AIDS activist
I agree to the each word! I think it is a nature of a true artist that doesn't let one sit and enjoy their "success", releasing CDs similar like to glasses of water each 6 months. Only the person with an open soul can be so inspiring! @Theodore A Hoppe - Thank you for your link! Indeed an insightful talk

Dan Cobley: What physics taught me about marketing
Can't but agree that better correspondences could have been found, and if there are none - then probably there' no connection at all? But, no matter how the idea sounds to everyone else, to me it is quite true. I always longed to see people who finally understand that all the sciences are connected, and humanitarian disciplines and exact science all teach about the same thing - principles of living, and behavioural laws. I think this is what he was trying to say:)

Derek Sivers: Keep your goals to yourself
Agreed, telling people about my goals makes me personally more responsible about achieving them, I did this to quit smoking - announced to everyone that I don't smoke any more and after that I couldn't take a cigarette because that would create an image of a weak-willed person. I don't think many people really cared about my announcement or even remembered it but I did and it helped. But there is a portion of truth as well, because in my case not all the people approve the goal I am setting and by telling me their arguments I start to hesitate which results in lesser motivation.

Jessa Gamble: Our natural sleep cycle
RE: out goes the social life in a big way! - absolutely agreed, I can never decide whether my body or my thirst to socializing wins - pretty often I make a choice in favour of some activity rather then having rest. If we are to speak about the time clock, it is also worth mentioning that some researches showed that natural day cycle for a person is 28 hours, not conventional 24, where you could sleep for 8 hours and work for 20. This makes a great sense to me when I try to calculate how much I slept during the last week, but of course it's inapplicable in real life. More working hours give opportunity to talk to people from different timezones and generally learn more so each time I realize I slept 4 hours a day for the last 3 days, I compare myself to Leonardo Da Vinci, who had this 4-hours sleep 3 times a day cycle and grew his productivity level to the utmost:)
