Carne Ross: An independent diplomat
I saw the video, it stipulates that when the need arises a new singular government will form out of moral imperative, presumably one created by the cream of the capitalist crop. But I don't believe the solution lies in the hands of a new government created by a group of billionaires. I mean it sounds cliche and marxist and communist and socialist and all that but the power really does need to be given to the masses, or at least given to those that acknowledge the fact that the masses have the power, and the decisions should all be made with the whole of humanity in mind, not personal gain. That is the necessary change and the necessary revolution.

I followed everything up until the last sentence. How is it that the TCC has unwittingly globalized populations. I think the Internet has unwittingly globalized populations (but we are just a little slow to catch on to how good of a job it's actually done). I think the TCC will have to relinquish some of it's capital (in ways similar to that of Bill and Melinda gates, only more so) if we are to see Them uproot any of our civilizations stagnant systems.

I think the best way for revolution to occur is from the bottom up. There needn't be violence, only a colossal shift in viewpoint. Maybe everyone who hates their job has to just up and quit and undermine society for a little while , let the world see who is actually necessary.

Chris Anderson: How web video powers global innovation
Well put Geoff, but now there needs to be some sort of a platform in which collaboration is made easy. TED has developed the guidelines but no one has actually built a system around it.; a system which favors global progress over individual profits.

Chris Anderson: How web video powers global innovation
Maybe I was trying to compress too much too quickly, or maybe I didn't do it quickly enough, in any event I agree the first paragraph needs work (I've recently done a little editing on it, any suggestions?). But in my defense it would be aided by, seeing as this was a metaphorical TED speech, by direct video-refrences to each of the other TED speeches (and the RSA talk), building a more cohesive evolution to the singular focus of my speech: the proverbial "paradigm shift" towards global connectivity.

Chris Anderson: How web video powers global innovation
Towards the end of this speech he points to a global "you", saying that the masses are those who have the answers. Well I believe whole heartedly in that concept, but now the question is how do the masses get heard? I pondered over this question and decided that the best I could come up with was to start an anonymous blog. I wrote what I might say as a TED speech: http://eyeandsee.blogspot.com
