More About Me

I'm passionate about

I am passionate about build things: I am really project enthusiastic (I could say “addicted”). New concepts of organization, mobilization and cleaver ways to share and spread ideas, knowledge, etc.

An idea worth spreading

There are two quotes that motivate me and make move forward: "A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." (Margareth Mead) and "For these new ideas we need people that work with their hands" (Bertolt Brecht).

Talk to me about

New projects and ideas to improve the education and motivate people to engage themselves in what they believe.

People don't know that I'm good at

... luckily find out solutions to solve problems; talking abut any subject without even know the topic; orienting projects that I am not specialized; teaching what I've just learned.

My TED Story

I discovered TED when I was looking for content for my graduating project: Environmental E-learning for capacitate a ONG members. TED has became the benchmark of my research. Some talks has make me discover thoughts and people that I could never know without TED. When I have became professor, I started to translate the TED Talks to use at my classes, even before the TED Translators were available. Nowadays, TED is my main way to reflect about my ideas and to introduce people (students) to a new world of ideas and possibilities.

  • A comment on Talk: Sugata Mitra shows how kids teach themselves

Sep 5 2008: "Teachers that can be replaced by a computer, shold be..." this setence goes to my diploma thesis. The main point of this speak is the problematization about the motivation to study, this motivation is just cutted in the life of the students.
