Rob Reid: The $8 billion iPod
I HATE THE STATE STREET AD APPEARING IN BETWEEN TALKS VERY DEPRESSING AND THINK TED IS GETTING TOO COMMERCIAL AND IF THIS IS THE CASE FORWARD ,, I THINK THERE IS A NEED TO CREATE NEW TED-LIKE PLATFORM FOR KNOWLEDGE WHICH IS NOT AFFECTED BY SOME SCHOOLS SELLING COLLEGE DEGREES

Which application of drones excites or terrifies you the most?
THE SCARY PART OF DRONE I THINK DRONES WILL BE USED FOR DELIVERING THE ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES FROM ONE PLACE OF PRODUCTION TO THE PLACE OF CONSUMPTION, GANGES WILL USE THEM FOR DELIVERING THE DRUGS AND WEAPONS. THE BUSINESS OF SUCH "THINGS" ARE ALWAYS WORRIED OF GETTING CAUGHT AND DRONES ARE NOT EASY TO CATCH AND EVEN IF LAW CATCHES THEM, THE OWNERS ONLY LOSE THE DRONE AND " CONSIGNMENT" BUT NOT THE LIVES OF THEIR MEMBERS. ALSO THE DRONES CAN BE OPERATED FROM REMOTE LOCATIONS AND I THINK THERE WILL BE A FULL OFFSHORE OUTSOURCING INDUSTRY DEVELOPED IN NEXT 5-20 YRARS TO OPERATE DRONES FROM LOCATIONS WHICH ARE NOT EASILY ACCESSIBLE AND FACILITATE SMUGGLES FROM COUNTRY-X TO DELIVER THINGS IN COUNTRY-Y FROM COUNTRY-Z. THE EASY ACCESS TO OPENSOURCE TECH IS DANGEROUS THING WHEN IT COMES TO THE COMPARATIVELY SPEEDY RATE OF ADAPTATION BY ILLEGAL ELEMENTS IN SOCIETIES.... ARSHI
