Music, renewable energy, a personalized education system which emphasizes the diversity of talent among children, slowfood - localy and ecologically produced food, fewer people in the world

An idea worth spreading

There are about 7 billion people in the world today. That is a lot of people, too many in my opinion. And we have out-smarted ourselves, because we have put ourselves on top of the world. We can eat all most anything, and we are predators, carnivorous.

By nature the number of predators will vary, since it follows the numbers of the herbivorous animals, the animals lower down in the food chain, both up an down. If the herbivorous animals have had a good season, the number of predators will rise, and if not, the number will fall.

But, the number of human beings has only went upwards. Among other things, we have fed the animals we like with other animals that we do not like that much. And when we ran out, we have just found other animals to feed them.

I think that if we do not reduce the number of people in the world ourselves, by reducing the number of births over a couple of generations, nature will sooner or later reduce the number for us, and it might not be pleasant.
