Sep 5 2012: The boundaries are not a space-time fabric, otherwise we would be able to move from on to another.

A comment on Talk: Brian Greene: Is our universe the only universe?

Sep 5 2012: I love physics, I have read over 40 books including Brian Greene's.

Some famous physicists including Michio Kaku, Brian Cox and Brian Green tend to sensationalize physics, you feel as though they are almost acting, their vocal tones, their body language and even being comic at times, hasn't anyone noticed?

I prefer a more low-key approach so I can take these theoretical physicists seriously.

We are no different than a cat trying to figure out how a point from a laser pointer appears and disappears or why it can grab it, we live in such a complex universe that Einstein is relatively as knowledgeable as a cat, the amount of knowledge acquired after discoveries is minuscule compared to the new question that emerge out of that discoveries.

A comment on Talk: Vijay Kumar: Robots that fly ... and cooperate

Mar 3 2012: Interesting that throughout the whole video surveillance and military applications were not mentioned, I feel that my intelligence was a bit insulted, this leads me to believe that these robots will FIRST make it to the surveillance and military communities, in fact I believe that government agencies have their claws all over this one and will ask the courts and FAA for exclusive use of these robots.
  • A comment on Talk: Christien Meindertsma: How pig parts make the world turn

Sep 22 2010: Well Christien Meindertsma, you can borrow my heart valve anytime :)

Seriously though, I think her research shed the light on the uses of raw material and products in every day life, and that products are not made with what the appear to be made of, or what the ingredient lists states. rather a combination of pig material, synthtic material and other material. I would like to point out that many companies do not realize they are using pig by products in their production.

A reply on Talk: Bill Gates on energy: Innovating to zero!

Sep 12 2010: I really like Bill Gates, and everything he has to say, but here's my take on this: Population growth is highest in African countries, I sincerely doubt that the reason behind this is that couples are worried their children might die. People in various cultures simply do not have family planning, nor do they take contraceptive, nor do they believe in them, they have intercourse, the women gets pregnant and the couple has a baby, to them it's in our nature to have sex and deliver babies.

Now for certain animals that lay eggs, it maybe true, predators eat some of their eggs, so they lay more, but humans don't follow this thinking (or instinctive process), in my opinion and from what I have observed, the number of children is directly related to people's culture, for example, if a family has five children in England, France, Norway or most part of the USA, it is considered a high number, go to India, African countries or the Middle-East, it is considered somewhat the norm.

A comment on Talk: Bill Gates on energy: Innovating to zero!

Sep 11 2010: I love Bill Gates, not only is he innovative, but he is an excellent speaker. His ideas are implementable if only countries would spend less on wars on more on R&D.

On a comical note, when Bill mentioned services, he stated TVs and others, but didn't make a mention of computers :)
  • A comment on Talk: Penelope Boston says there might be life on Mars

Sep 2 2010: Life does exist in extreme environments, except that that environment requires a more moderate one to support it. If the atmospheric pressure was so high and water and acid could not evaporate because the air above the water doesn't allow it. chemically speaking, well then life is those very acidic swamps would not exist.

The point I am trying to make is that just because life can exist in extreme environment on Earth, certainly does not merit a 25% to 50% chance of life (any form of life) existing on Mars.

Mars is a hostile environment, generally speaking, why haven't we found life already? Why do we need to find it in those caves or even more hostile environment?
  • A comment on Talk: Jeremy Rifkin: "The empathic civilization"

Sep 1 2010: If Empathy is related to survival, the celebration of life and the fear of death, does this mean that terminally ill people do not have Empathy? Just posing a question...

I personally think that Empathy is *sometimes* related to guilt. I think that sometimes people are Empathetic because they see others around them being empathetic towards someone else, they don't want to feel guilty that they didn't help or felt the pain, so they "force" themselves to feel that same pain, this is especially true when the person cannot relate to the pain, a good example of this, a famous comedian dies, Cindy is crying her heart out, Mindy standing next to her doesn't react at first, because she doesn't know the comedian in question, so in order not to hurt Cindy's feelings, she puts herself in a sad mode; i would call this "Peer pressure Empathy".

A reply on Talk: Diane J. Savino: The case for same-sex marriage

Aug 29 2010: 'Always' is a very strong word, it was often used in history before Copernicus, Einstein, Newton, Martin Luther King Jr. and the Womens' rights movement.
Progressive societies have shown to be the most people friendly, with better social programs and fair to most of the population, hence the word progressive.
