Apr 21 2011: Continually question why everything is the way it is and how it could also be different with the intention that being different will make it better. For example, is there a way to raise apple or cherry tress so that they grow sideways thus allowing all the fruit to be easily reached and picked without waste? Also, I find it creatively inspiring to look at the complex and delicate design of everything in nature, and how those principles, colors, designs and functions can be used to create new products and services for humans to make this a better planet for all.
Sep 7 2010: I don't sense it is because of our metabolism. I presume it is because of what we do to ourselves (all those bad habits, chemicals and such) that limits our lifespan. Our environment has also caused us to drastically lessen our chances of living beyond 80 years. The human body compared to plants and micro-organisms, is very, very fragile. Simply looking at how many gresses and plants lay dormant, but do not die during the brutally cold northern Minnesota winters is proof to me of just how fragile we are!
Aug 2 2010: I have always wondered why as an atheist, one would spend any time debating about the existence of God. If one does not believe God exists, then why care about what other people think - it makes no sense to spnd time in foolish debate! No one debates the existence of Sanat Claus because he is not real. If as an atheist I do not believe God is real, then why should I spend any time debating his existence?
