Connecting great people, branding an idea and being a community moderator for the purpose of change. I would like to bring up the concepts of "Conscious Business and Social Entrepreneurship" because today more than at any other time we have joint or common knowledge by means of the web, are privy to i-knowledge and information that was never available to the masses before, cognizant of the need to act in creative manner as a society. We are conscious of the role we play and that of others in our lives. We owe to ourselves and others to up-grade our mindsets and work on a higher level. My passion is finding a way to take the amazing tools that are at our finger tips and use them to empower people! We do not harness the tools in a way that makes collaboration worth peoples while. You see conferences are something that open peoples minds to the possibilities, yet often times those that stand up and talk, authors that write an inspiring book do not stand up to lead their people!
About anything that you might want to share with me! Good listener. Loves humour. An individualist that cares deeply and is perturbed,as yourselves, with the way things are being done in the world.
Philosophical, broad-minded, motivates learning, searching for the meaning of life. Extroverted, optimistic, and enthusiastic, it can be almost impossible to keep me down. Change is essential for me.
Long before I knew anything at all about where I would be today.
My world was a very small place. It was, my country South Africa. My neighbourhood which was a very diverse population of different nationalities, religious beliefs, the common thread was the economic standing which was middle class. Glaringly absent were the people of colour that did not live directly with us in the same neighbourhoods. I do recall being profoundly struck by the likeness of the people and not what was different. There certainly were differences yet they did not cause conflict or make one feel out of it.
This was a sound basis for co-operation that taught me to care deeply, about the fate of people. I am writing this to share, that even in a country, that was living as it was in those times, it was possible to be a unified community, underscoring the power of words to to effect change and touch the heart.

A comment on Conversation: Having passion in your work is trainable. Being deeply passionate and driven is not. How does one pursue a deep desire to be doing more?
In fact, decades of research on achievement suggests that successful people reach their goals not simply because of who they are, but more often because of what they do.
Being specific about what you are seeking...being passionate about results.
Mostly having fun and enjoying the learning process along the way. Having the guts to experiment and make changes...sharpen up and not feel that you may fail...
A comment on Conversation: Our modern societies still need feminism
In my opinion diversity is the answer, the spice that drives original thinking.
"People need to stick together to win, they simply need to identify their goals, pursue them with passion, and embrace the concept of community."
A comment on Conversation: Wealth and power have been our conventional measures of success. What definition will better sustain us now and how can we move into it?
People that immigrate loose their identity.
"The conventional model of success has proven to be destructive, separating and pitting us against each other in competition." True.
We need to find ways to pool our talents and work together...
People with less education than your Mom have taken the lead and created projects that involve and inspire others.
I would imagine that when it hurts enough one gets up and does something about it?
A comment on Conversation: What is the greatest security challenge facing humanity today?
That we are fooled to believe that the people that run things for us have our interests at heart.
The systems are corrupt giving Unlimited power to a few individuals starting from the Federal reserve and
the way "Democratic" Elections occur to the Big Pharmaceutical companies having so much sway in the Governments.
Money is power and money is controlled, people are being put into debt by their governing "rulers' who have no
shame.
A reply on Talk: David Brooks: The social animal
the behaviour...
Behaviour that is often illogical an unreasonable.
Expected social relations make us often act against ourself
without reason...be manipulated.
Do we really act at the most human level that we can.
A comment on Conversation: Should anyone be able to upload their TEDTalk to TED.com?
Like the Unconferences that take place that are less than professional.
A comment on Conversation: The west can no longer claim to be an honest broker in the search for peace in the Middle East.
Depends what people call Freedom? Freedom brings personal responsibility for all people to act
with restraint not imposing their views on others.
I too am cynical about governments, yet the question is would the "crowd" act more sensibly? Not
imposing their own interests, grabbing the riches and raping the weak?
A comment on Conversation: What's the overlooked gem, the book I haven't read that I must?
Modern and informative relevant history of the emergence of Women in America.
A highly readable epic novel...
Pity, that Gail has not yet found women in other parts of the world, to be relevant to
the emerging identity of women.

by Rachel Botsman, Roo Rogers
The authors offer their viewpoint of how networks affect our lives and the power of community which is a subject that interests you. They discuss a new kind of consumerism.
They talk about the generosity of the human spirit when given a chance to put this aspect into play...emerging economics and culture of collaboration.
