About Me

Brian Smith is a catalyst, creating change in people, organizations, and communities. During his career, he has handled national and global sales for two startup retail companies, managed brands for multiple companies, promoted a Broadway show, and generated millions of dollars in loan transactions.

Recognized for his skills in speaking and strategic planning, Brian helps people learn how to produce bigger, better results through creative thinking. Too many people think that creativity belongs to artists, and Brian gives clear insight and tools to use creative thinking in the workplace.

Brian serves on the Board of Trustees for the Business Ethics Alliance and curates TEDxOmaha, which is an independently produced TED event.

My TED Story

"Jeff Han demos his breakthrough touchscreen" was my first TED talk. As I continued my love affair with TED and all the talented people it showcases, I licensed TEDxOmaha in 2009 and began producing the event for my community. A generous sponsor sent me to TEDActive2012, which cemented my commitment to Ideas Worth Spreading.
