  • A comment on Conversation: Should Americans eliminate the Electoral College and elect their presidents through simple majority vote?

Oct 30 2012: I thought it should be abandoned originally but I now realize this issue is more complicated then I had originally imagined. It's something I would need to reflect on a little further. In cases where the popular vote is almost evenly split it seems unfair that a candidate without popular vote should be elected. I believe it should be updated if not removed.

Aug 25 2012: For this to work we must first "entangle" two particles or be lucky enough that ET has a particle already entangled with one we have. Even then how would we identify a single entangled particle? With our current understanding the only way this could work is if ET sent us a quantum entanglement radio or perhaps they will send us an instuctable on how to make quantum entanglement radio. For now all we can do is listen.

Aug 25 2012: I know where you can get a job like that. You just described religion.

Aug 25 2012: It's true that we need a faster then light medium for two way communication but for now we are just trying to see if there is anyone out there to talk to. In his talk you hear the word "eavesdropping" which seems more appropriate then communication. Considering the time it will take for a signal to reach us from the next habitable planet the originator of the signal will have likely either moved on or become extinct anyway. Kind of a bitter sweet victory.
  • A reply on Talk: Keith Nolan: Deaf in the military

Feb 14 2012: That caught me off-guard LOL. For a brief moment it appeared a female voice was coming out of his mouth. Great talk!

A reply on Talk: Stephen Petranek counts down to Armageddon

Oct 24 2010: Humans made the list several times. All the antibiotics we pass out. Building super colliders we don't entirely understand, and apathy.
