A comment on Talk: Daniel Tammet: Different ways of knowing

Jun 21 2011: Once in a lifetime opportunity. Savant are almost always "low" functioning, they can't do a TED talk, the autism is stronger than them.

In this case Daniel Tammet is unique. He is a "high" functioning savant, allowing us to see a little bit of his beautiful mind.

A comment on Talk: Anthony Atala: Printing a human kidney

Mar 17 2011: Dr. Anthony Atala presentation was very accurate. He was talking slowly, explianing ina very big way how does it works. If you pay attention, he never says "we have cured this or that", he's only explian new discoveries, and fields of research.

As almost everything in medicine, this open a whole new ethical discussion, about doing organs. Are we becoming robots? In a while, are we all be almost all print organs?

In the meantime don't forget to donate blood, and expresing your family your will if you want to be an organ donor.
  • A comment on Talk: Margaret Gould Stewart: How YouTube thinks about copyright

Mar 17 2011: From my point of view, the youtube users that upload videos they are not making it for profit, only because they enjoy it. I put myself as an example, I uploades a video from a concert I went, I am not making any profits, I uploades becausa I wanted to share to everybody in youtube how amazing the concert was, and to the people that also were in the concert give them a reminder of how much fun it was.

Since the majority of record labels are putting copyrights and shutting down videos in youtube, it kind of lost it fun. You no longer can make a video of you and your friends with this or that song because you are shutting down. As Margaret Gould explains, record labels are indeen taking advantage of that, and using the people ideas to make profits of that.

I think youtube has become a revolution in every way I just don´t want to lose it.
