A comment on Talk: Gayle Tzemach Lemmon: Women entrepreneurs, example not exception

Feb 10 2012: Frankly, I don't much care for the age-old battle of the sexes, but I liked 2 quotes in Gayle's talk: ‎"Never import other people's limitations!" &
"When we change the way we see ourselves, others will follow." as applied to both genders, all ages & races, etc.

A reply on Talk: Thomas Barnett: Rethinking America's military strategy

May 23 2010: Hm...Seems to me that he's arguing for a respectful approach to coflict, which is an inevidable reality! I'm not a mil. fan, but this fella actually makes some sense promoting the creation of an A-Z rule book for dealing with dictators & warmogers around the globe & freeing the populace conrolled by them. If the agenda is creation of peace & respect for human rights around the globe, we definitely need a different mil. model than the current shoot'em up & toss aid their way!
  • A reply on Talk: Thomas Barnett: Rethinking America's military strategy

May 23 2010: agreed, we definitely need some global political will to focus on peace instead of our current functioning out of a fear-based paradigm!
  • A comment on Talk: VS Ramachandran: 3 clues to understanding your brain

May 21 2010: Wow, what a creative way of using/exploiting the brain-body link of body image to relieve suffering! I love low-tech solutions, esp. on TED! Hee, hee. Long live genius put to service of mankind! Thank you Vilayanur!

A reply on Talk: Eve Ensler: Embrace your inner girl

May 21 2010: I think here Ensler is just trying to say that it's OK to FEEL; to be soft, compassionate, caring; so-called 'emotional' & she's trying to say it's OK to feel for both men & women!
As TonyRobins says, Emotions put the motion into action, or something to that effect & you can't really argue with that truth for emotions do motivate!

A reply on Talk: Eve Ensler: Embrace your inner girl

May 21 2010: Agreed 110%. Rape is a violent act & it's indeed about power & fear; there is no room for POSITIVE emotions there!

Ensler perhaps should have distinguished between positive & negative emotions, since some folks (i.e. Piotr Kucharczyk) seem unable to draw the distinction for themselves. !!?!?!
