Apr 13 2012: To each their own. I find getting out of the current system very exciting and appealing. In my view money and politicians have proven to be inefficient and ineffective. I prefer a much more scientific approach to fixing issues that plague the people of the planet.
The question was "On what kind of world would all the children eat?" Do you have any ideas for this? Or are you just another conservative troll.
Apr 12 2012: We would need to transition to a non monetary Resource Based Economy like The Venus Project and the Zeitgeist Movement suggest. I think a good transitory step forward would be to educate and adapt a global ecological economic model.
Apr 12 2012: If you make vasectomy and sperm banking free and promoted that, you could drastically change the issue. No halfway intelligent guy wants to knock up someone when they're not ready. Here is the education required to understand the problem. We are animals with sex drives. Throw in alcohol, drugs, and distorted values and whether you boy, girl, man, or woman will procreate in-spite of everyones best interests. Show a guy how many men have committed suicide because they can't pay the child support. Show them the pain of losing your family because the relationship that was built on an unplanned pregnancy is all to often not a solid foundation for a healthy long term relationship. Educate males and also give them access to vasectomy and sperm banking free and you could very well drastically change the nightmares of unplanned pregnancy. I wanna live in that world. A planned world.
Dec 7 2010: Wow! Excellent historical to modern day perspective. Glad to know that there are still people that are calling out the corruption in the USA. I also love the people that are blaming the victims of these injustices. I love them because they are the brainwashed masses completely void of morality. I love them for supporting US aggression in the world no matter the lives lost or the debt incurred to it's wage slaves. We are one Nation under religious hypocrisy, complicit and corrupt by our socio economic structure.
So then the answer is to transition to a non-monetary system utilizing technologies for sustainable living. Till then will always proceed as we always have promoting War, Corruption, and Poverty. I would hope that if you are interested in ending these staples of US culture from current and future trends that you will look in to The Venus Project. Thank you for your time.
Jun 11 2010: I propose another way of looking at the way we live as humans on a small sensitive blue dot. Imagine we have 1000 years before our sun blows up. Your money, since that is what everyone values more than anything in todays society, will all get burnt up by the sun. Hence we must find away to save money by getting it as far away from the explosion as possible. But the problem is it takes money to get us to save money..The drama..What do we do as a greedy self-serving human race? We know that we can't make money off of it but we have a chance at saving the possible future of an intergalactic capitalist democracy(ICD). What do we do? The best solution obviously being to invest in 401k ICDs @ 7% yield the best chance at.....Really?? Coal having the best historical investment...Stop.
Perhaps money isn't that important. Maybe there is another way without it? Then is the question how do we get away from an exploding sun? Not nearly as complicated when money is no longer an issue. We save life
May 22 2010: Peter, Is human behavior natural or learned through conditioning? I believe is what your asking. I am not a spokesperson for the TVP/ZM but will try to do my best to explain what I understand of this.
Eating is something we must do and is natural, what we eat and how is learned. Do you agree?
Many people like to put greed in the context of human nature. I believe this is a learned behavior and is not natural. I know my belief may be wrong.
You may have more information on the issue. Any study on this should be strongly scrutinized as to the potential consequences of corruption inherit within our current society and the prejudice self preservation of the established institutions. It's hard to find or trust untainted objectivity in a monetary society.
What would you say is human nature and how does the ZM/TVP conflict with your belief on this subject?
May 1 2010: Marcio, Do you think spamming everyone like this is effective? I hope you will consider the impact to your message when you communicate this way. Do people know who you are? Do people trust you? Try having real conversations. It may be more difficult but if done well people will connect with you and become interested in things you find important. I'm a member of the Zeitgeist Movement and this just makes me cringe.
Apr 29 2010: Matt, Very well said. I think you can look across many of the government system isms and find good intentioned ideologies. People truly are imperfectly corruptible. That human flaw should be designed out.
