About Me

I've done all sorts of things, from working with communities for defining their development vision, to teaching students or training local government people, to tenant coordination on a huge scale commercial real estate project, to educating the same tenants about garbage collection... and , last but not least, raising my two beautiful children. I take pride in my work and my dear friends keep on assuring me that all the bits and pieces will come together one day. Hope this will happen soon, in the meanwhile I'm being curious about things and people...

More About Me

I'm passionate about

Understanding things, situations and people. Changing all of the above. Hopefully for the better.

An idea worth spreading

We all love our children, but they deserve our respect as well. They are independent, smart, creative people, and we ought to embrace that.

People don't know that I'm good at

Cooking :)

A comment on Conversation: What's one thing you wish you had learned in school?

Nov 29 2011: That I am of value as myself, and not as a reflection of the grades and diplomas. No one thought that this is important and it occurred to me rather late that the latter were just a measure of how well you complied.
As a note, I grew up in a communist country, where religious matters were not discussed, where many books and debates were tabu and, essentially, the individual did not matter.

A reply on Conversation: How can a common man participate in "revolutionizing" education?

Nov 29 2011: What you are describing in the beginning already exists in the organization of a Montessori classroom. You'll always get 3to6 or 6to9 (etc) year-olds in the same group, the oldest sharing with the youngest what they already master in terms of learning. It's a beautiful and enriching experience for any child to get to be the teacher.

Mar 22 2011: I like a lot the graphic quality of the video. After watching it only once, I'm sure just about reading something of 'Chrome', which might be exactly the point... I'll be watching again :)
  • A comment on Talk: The Pepsi Refresh Project

Mar 22 2011: I liked a lot the talk given by the Pepsi exec on the Refresh project. So I believe that it is indeed an idea worth spreading.
  • A comment on Talk: Changing Our Future

Mar 22 2011: I believe that the TEDTalks are a very good media spot for this kind of ads, and for this in particular.
  • A comment on Talk: Target Kaleidoscopic Fashion Spectacular

Mar 22 2011: Great show, I've loved it the minute I've first seen it and came back to it several times since.
  • A comment on Talk: Born of Fire

Mar 22 2011: This would have been perfect if backed by some kind of community/art/education etc project in Detroit. The spot does not tell anything about giving something back to the city, it would've been nice.
  • A comment on Talk: Dulux Walls

Mar 22 2011: Well, It looks pretty and fresh. It makes the point. But isn't this too much photoshop?
  • A comment on Talk: Girl Effect: The Clock is Ticking

Mar 22 2011: Very emotional, but hey, I'm a mother of a daughter. I like the whole concept, I think it is strong enough to get you interested and get you to the to the website of the cause. And the whole point, how everything begins or ends when the girl is 12, is really an idea worth thinking about. And spreading :)
