A comment on Talk: Debate: Does the world need nuclear energy?

Jun 22 2010: Yes, the nuclear waste will persist for hundred of years, but the waste from the U235 is U238. Bill Gates helps solving this problem by evolving new ways of obtaining nuclear energy from Uranium 238. This is the waste resulting from transforming U235 into electricity. And in his talk he pointed out that the nuclear waste (U238) stored in the US can be the fuel for 300 more years in the new nuclear plants. This alone can solve the problem of nuclear waste.

This does not involve digging for new Uranium. No environment damage is done. No uranium enrichment - no uranium for weapons.

On the other hand we should encourage developing ECO energy as well. We don`t have to choose one against the other at this point. We must choose both eco and nuclear against coal burning CO2 producing energy.

  • A comment on Talk: Richard St. John's 8 secrets of success

Jun 15 2010: I think it is all a matter of where you stand when you look at the concept. Success has a different meaning from one individual to another. To each of them a successful person is measured by the means they measure they`re own success. So those are only the 8 secrets for success that will provide a successful TED-ster. (which would be the most excellent kind of a successful person to my mind)
