Meg Barbour opened The Barbour Shop digital studio in Southern California in 2006.
After receiving her BA from University of Pennsylvania, majoring in architecture (minors: fine arts, and art history), Meg began her career at EC Productions in Santa Barbara, CA. She was assistant editor for two award-winning films, receiving the Telly Award, Cine Golden Eagle Award, and Platinum Best of Show at the Aurora Awards.
Meg, now First Chair at The Barbour Shop, delivers innovative design, motion graphics, visual effects, and post production for television, film, web, and mobile.
Mentoring emerging artists, Meg created an International All Star team of rock-star talent. Locally at Santa Barbara City College School of Media Arts, she developed Media Incubator for students to promote their work and find career opportunities through internships.
Meg is a member of Broadcast Design Association, Women In Film, Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and Phi Theta Kappa.
