Sheryl WuDunn: Our century's greatest injustice
Indeed, a very impressive talk. It is truly exciting to see real examples of how little amount of contribution had helped many to become success stories of their local communities. Well, sometimes education is not enough to break all barriers and promote gender equality. In our case, south region of my country, Azerbaijan is quite much influenced by religious and cultural views that come from Iran. Even though people have ample finance and opportunity to ensure education for their children, in some cases girls aren't allowed to go to school and universities when they pass a certain age. It is heartbreaking to hear such sad stories when young girls are forced into servile marriages at a very early age.
