  • A comment on Talk: Ken Robinson: Bring on the learning revolution!

May 25 2010: Still, this talk is blaming the current situation of Educating students out of Creativity. The social needs, or rather stereotypes, set the standards for the way of educating pupils, for certificates normally have become a must condition for good salary, a better job, and a easy life. The majority of parents and teachers are suffering from their lives by not being able to see passions. Naturally, they accept the idea that before enjoying lives, students should compete, so that they won't be losers. After, they will have the qualification of pursuing their life goals. But the truth is each individual being is unique, and we are not industrial products. Perhaps our children have their own talents. By education, the process of producing standard products, their talents might have no chance to reveal again.

I hate being told to face the reality. It feels like being declared the doom day. When I am in my 20s, I can see through what I am going to be in my 60s. Everything is arranged.

A reply on Talk: Josh Silver demos adjustable liquid-filled eyeglasses

Mar 3 2010: Thank you for the detail explanation, because after watching, I was also wondering how it works.

Here comes another question. What Josh uses is liquid, which probably will move and flow as time goes on. It will affect the users' vision, even damage their sight.

Anyhow, the idea is brilliant and it indicates another fantastic job opportunity.
  • A comment on Talk: Derek Sivers: Weird, or just different?

Feb 2 2010: Wow, what an excellent and interesting talk, short but exquisite. This is no absolute right or wrong, and the current reasonable will perphas turn out to be unreasonable. We are not used to new environment, partly because we were used to the old pattern. When we travel to a new place, a new country, and meet new things, something bringbring inconvenience, it would be easy to take it for granted that our own nations, own customs, own races are better, even superior than others.
  • A comment on Talk: Bruno Bowden folds while Rufus Cappadocia plays

Jan 26 2010: I am not sure whether it is the shortest TED talk, but it's translation can stand as one of the shortest one, and even the easiest one ever. It is interesting, anyhow.
  • A comment on Talk: Martin Luther King Jr.: I have a dream

Jan 24 2010: Unfortunately, youtube has been blocked here, but I have listened to the speech "I have a dream" a lot of times. It is so famous here, and even is written in the English text book for high school students.

A comment on Talk: Ken Robinson says schools kill creativity

Jan 22 2010: Is his son going to feel uncomfortable as Mr. Robinson talked about him and his girlfriend in such a hilarious way publicly? Humour could be one of the potential evidences of showing someone whether creative or not and Mr. Robinson showed it. About creativity, as he mentioned, which is sadly, we are educated out of it, not into it. Because there is hierarchy in jobs, too, those most educated will work in the minor areas and far beyond the understanding of the public. I think in most countries, it is the case that those working in primary schools understand less than those professors and searchers, so our children's creativity will probably be tortured and ruined, as most of them will not able to receive a real fine education.
