Hi there! My name is Sandra. I was fortunate enough to have been born in Prague, a beautiful city in the heart of Europe, at a very peculiar time in history: just around the time of the Velvet Revolution and the fall of Communism. During my teenage years I had a unique opportunity to witness the economic transformation of Czechoslovakia into a capitalist country and a member of the European Union. I completed most of my post-secondary education in the U.K., Canada and U.S., where I lived for about 7 years. As a result, I'm bilingual in English and Czech and am also fluent in French. My early college years were spent studying the humanities and linguistics during which I came to appreciate the great classics of philosophy, literature and art. Later, fascinated by the various forms of organization I observed in social life, I decided to shift my focus and pursue studies in economics in a ongoing quest that has yet to satisfy my hunger for understanding world issues on a global scale.
... Education Reform. Other areas of interest include Public Policy Design & Analysis, Economic Development, Social Entrepreneurship, Poverty Alleviation and Urban Planning.
... martial arts, especially Japanese martial art forms. Also, my passion for singing in French remains secretively confined by the walls of the bathroom.
