  • A reply on Talk: Bjarke Ingels: 3 warp-speed architecture tales

Oct 2 2009: I enjoyed watching the talk a lot! The concepts and the thought process both are fascinating to me. I think architecture may play a role in solving some social issues like poverty. But you can't expect too much from a building or a park. And architects are not social workers. Should be realistic about what they can do.
  • A comment on Talk: Pattie Maes and Pranav Mistry demo SixthSense

Mar 14 2009: I just don't like the way she fantasizes this technology. This is nothing new compared to what Johnny Lee has done a few years ago and his Wii projects that have been widely spread over the web. Don't try too hard to cash out. I don't think wearing a projector is a cool idea. Besides, the problem with a projector? The short life span of the light bulb.
  • A comment on Talk: Hod Lipson builds "self-aware" robots

Oct 26 2007: All right, i have to admit that i have been convinced, not by this single video clip, but by all the materials out there, that some day we will get there, where robot can think we cannot think, and do what we cannot do. But that's not the point. My question is, and has always been, why do we want robots that can do everything for us? Why? Some researchers argue that they do it just because of the intrinsic human curiosity, and some say that this is for the benifits of our own. Well, no matter what you say, thank you for your work, another 5000 US jobs have just been moved to China, where a lot of jobs are still relied on flesh and bones, sweat and blood.

I'm convinced that some day, we'll all be able to bow and pray, to the neon robot god we make...
