Khalid Marbou, 21 years old, is currently an undergraduate engineering student majoring in Nanotechnology.
Khalid is also a successful blogger and a published writer in numerous national websites and newspapers (in Morocco). He has recently finished writing a sci-fi novel that is currently under review.
Khalid is very passionate about volunteer work, organizing TEDx events and working with NGOs on projects that are mainly related to the improvement of science and technology communication and popularization in his community. He has launched the first initiative for science communication in Morocco (The Moroccan Scientific Community), and is currently leading a team of volunteers working to achieve the goals of this initiative using various mediums (a facebook page, a website and a scientific magazine).
Doing things differently, doing things creatively..
Anything about inspiring and fascinating ideas, communicating science and technology, research in Nanotechnology, writing and literature, movies and even politics.
I discovered about TED by the end of 2009, watched most of the talks and was fascinated and inspired by every one of them, and eventually started translating videos by October 2010, and carried on until today.
