Nov 10 2009: The negative things I see in english mania in china is that the majority of college graduates dont have to use english in their jobs. Though we cant deny that the globalisation makes english more necessary as a tool, there are still tremendous jobs having nothing to do english in china. Well, the point of this comment is that we chinese spend too much time, energy and even money(you cant imagine how huge a mint these english trainning schools can make ) in learning english while most students find english not so important as they supposed before. what they should do is just to obtain some so called nationally-acknowleged english certificates which are based on formulaic exams. Thats a sad development.
