Jan 6 2011: enjoyable - I would have loved to have such a teacher in science!
The message that is standing out most to me is the call for awarenes for the wonders this universe has to offer, a call against falling asleep in the mediocrity and dullness of the mundane.
44:26 "this is because the principles of physics and chemistry are the same all over the universe"
IMO, this is a long shot - isn't there an underlying assumption
a) that the principles of physics and chemistry are known to science?
b) the same principles are valid for all other worlds out there?
Not long ago, I have heard a very convincing speech, given by a German philosopher, who was challenging these two assumptions.
