More About Me

I'm passionate about

my wife, web technologies, making businesses more successful, space flight, outdoors activities, smart people, challenges for the mind, swimming in the ocean, astronomy, mountains

An idea worth spreading

Business inherently has built in enough risks, therefore, I prefer to reduce risk by choosing business models and systems which have been proven to work.

Of course, there is room and need for being innovative and creative, just make sure that business has a sound foundation first. And don't forget the good old saying, "Don't put all eggs into one basket."

Talk to me about

business opportunities and challenges, marketing, web technologies, how we can improve our businesses

People don't know that I'm good at

cooking, dancing, repairing all sorts of things

My TED Story

Love those "smart" TED videos since ever.

Thanks to best selling author Dan Pink a good friend, talented writer Becky Blanton flew to TED and talked at TED.

How cool is that?

  • A comment on Conversation: If you could give computers one magical power, what would it be and why?

Nov 14 2011: Before I give computers any magical power I'd make sure the three laws of robotics according to Stanislaw Lem are in place.

Now they are ready to receive the gift of creativity in Arts, Engineering and Science.

Why? Because it could make a big difference. I am not sure if it were beneficial to give them emotions, too.

    What do you think?

    Jan 9 2010: :-)
Loved the presentation. I already moved to a small island. It's really a totally different life style as opposed to a big city. I think, we never wanna go back.

    Oct 28 2009: Wow Becky!
It's so good to see you hear on stage. I wished I could have been able to travel to Oxford at this time. Anyway, your opening and closing statements are so powerful.
It also says a lot about you good character that you did not just give your animals away.
