Born and raised in China, Geng moved to Canada at the age of 18 for his university studies. He has always be interested in footwear science since young, which motivated him to pursue his graduate studies in Biomechanics at the Human Performance Laboratory, University of Calgary. His current thesis project is looking at how foot/footwear traction is related animal locomotion.
