Mike joined VML's Applied Technology Group in May 2005 as Director of Creative Technology. With 25 years of high tech experience and executive-level management, marketing and product development experience, Mike serves clients as diverse as Microsoft, Ford, adidas, SAP and Colgate offering thought leadership and strategic insight on emerging trends, key technologies and discontinuous innovations.
Prior to joining VML, Mike worked for GE, Apple Computer, Iomega, and as an independent consultant for media and technology companies serving several multi-platinum recording artists (such as Aerosmith and Christina Aguilera).
While at Iomega, Mike served as the General Manager of Iomega's Mobile Storage Division where he was responsible for the development and marketing of an award-winning line of mobile storage products for digital cameras and other portable and handheld devices. During his tenure, Mike also headed up Iomega's software development group, and helped lead Iomega's entry into the optical storage category with the company's first CDRW drive, which sold more than a million units in the first year of sales.
During his nearly nine years with Apple Computer, Mike worked with portable and desktop systems, handheld computing and personal interactive electronics. Mike also was the Worldwide Director of Sales and Market Development for the Newton Group.
Mike was a charter member of the Secure Digital Music Initiative (SDMI) and holds a patent in the area of ecommerce and digital rights management. He is a graduate of Missouri State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in organizational communications.
