My Gospel so far…
I’m the only son in the family of three sisters and I enjoyed the extra attention my mother gave me. Oh, does it show? I was born and raised in Katlehong. The area is still 100% black except for three white women who decided to move into the area after 1994.
At the age of eleven (11) I was sent to St’ Francis College in Durban (Steve Biko was also a student there). After tertiary I did my in-service training at the SABC and soon thereafter joined Beeld newspaper. (I am still struggling with my Afrikaans though).
In 1998 I was seconded to City Vision, where I scooped the journalist of the year award. Away from the hectic life of being a journalist I enjoy a very private life with my family. I spend most of my time on household DIY projects, and if not, I’m always glued to Crime & Investigation Network.
The high points of my career include being appointed editor of City Vision newspaper in 2001. Winning the Sanlam Best community news paper award in 2002. In
