May 21 2011: oh come on people he gave a talk of all his main projects, in what 17 minutes if you really are worried about strutural analisys, aerodynamics, stability, how on earht is possible for this to stand up? then why don´t you give him a call or send him an email to really understand the project and be fullfilled with it, when you get a 3 minutes presentation of pure rendering of course you will have a bunch of questions, don´t be to harsh on him i think he thinks out of the box and most architects do not do that, +44 (0)20 7833 8800 here is his office phone number in case you really want to discuss wasted space and material with him. cheers people
Mar 17 2011: i think it´s all related to the consuption as long as we keep on using it and needing it they will keep producing it demand and supply, if the population does not demand for a cleaner type of energy they wont hesitate on even putting some piece of mind into creating an alternate type of energy.
when i go to the supermarket they just have one brand of chicken to buy, so when i get to the cash register they ask me if i found all that i wanted and i complain that they dont have more options of chicken, ket on doing this for several months i even told my friends to say the same thing as me, after a year and some months they had 3 other brands of chicken. It´s all in realizing the needs of popultaion to tranform the energy production and consuption. ;D personal opinion!
Mar 17 2011: Austria it´s one of the countries that if not 100% of its energy, its produced by rivers lakes and dams (hydraulic), just as an example that its possible to use other types of energy, eolic, solar, wave action, ocean termal, geotermic, etc. i think nuclear its faster and more powerfull yes, but pollutes and its a big danger to ourselfs (whats happening in Japan isn´t enough prove) i think nowadays its stupid to keep poroducing things that after certain amount of time will affect us direclty or indirectly. We just have to put a piece of mind into designing in a better way and really put effort on creating alternatives on energy plants. My very personal opinion. Thanks for reading.
