I am optimist young professional from the Baltic States. Starting my work experience as early as 11 years old, when I worked at my sister's (then age 15) company, which handled and delivered responses to the letters sent to the Santa Claus (apparently Lithuanian Santa Claus lives in the country side in Lithuania, rather than North Pole). Later on, during my school years, I have founded a company that made T-Shirts with my friends. In the high school I became passionate about beautiful presentations, and with my partner we won the national business presentation contest in Lithuania. Ever since, I have been a big fan of business, marketing - I graduated Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (ranked in top 20 best European Business School by Financial Times) with a B.Sc. in Business and Economics. During the university years I have been involved in many internships, clubs, and activities. I have been the editor of the monthly students' magazine, joined the debate club and participated in number of debating championships. Business case competitions were one of the activities too, we have formed a team that participated in number of business competitions in the Baltic States and globally. We were the winners of PeakTime 2009, a global students' business competition. After graduation I joined L'Oreal's management trainee program in the Baltic States, my responsibilities extended to managing skincare product group in the three Baltic States. After the traineeship I decided to start my own business, rather than pursuing my career at L'Oreal further and went on to establish an electric vehicles start-ups. One of the start-ups is official distributor of Zero Motorcycles in Lithuania, in the other start-up we are trying to create a conversion kit for regular cars and a 100mph capable electric motorcycle. I have been a co-founder and director of the Lithuanian Electric Vehicles Association. My dad, TED Patron Vladas Lasas, has taken me for the first TED Global 2009 in Oxford, which was a magnificent experience, and I am coming to TED 2011, which is my second TED.
I am passionate about beautiful and effective presentations, creative and interesting marketing strategies, business, green transport and sustainable development.
About the electric vehicles and their future worldwide; about creative marketing and advertising and making connection with the audience; snowboarding, extreme sports, and travel.
