About Me

I am an undergraduate of the Portuguese and English course at Universidade Federal Fluminense and I study translation from and into these two languages both at university and at Daniel Brilhante Brito's translator training course, one of much prestige in the translation field in Brazil. I am going to graduate in both courses at the end of 2009 and since 2007 I have also been working as a translation proofreader for two major publishing houses in Rio de Janeiro: Record and Nova Fronteira. Among the books I have proofread for these two companies are ones which recently achieved great levels of acclaim and popularity worldwide, such as "Madonna's Biography" by journalist and biographer Lucy O'Brien, and "Animal Vegetable Miracle" by Barbara Kingsolver.
