Sep 28 2010: Few months ago I attended a lecture given by psychologists who work on polygraph testing and they made a point during that talk that we are still light years away from really good automated polygraph that laymen could use and that polygraphs of today only work when you ask other person very direct multiple choice question (so you can't know if (s)he is telling truth about an opinion). Based on that I think we are really far from real BS detector, but I think I have very good heuristic about politicians. :)
