I was born in México City, more years ago than I care to remember. Left the city at an early age and lived in Mérida, Yucatán; then Cancún. I have also lived in San Antonio, Texas and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
I was one of the founders of the first boy scout group in Cancún and have also helped establish two schools. I have dabbled in producing and selling produce, sea foods and poultry. I´m currently involved in a project to raise organic cattle and meat products in a little town in western Yucatán and for 2010 I will be working on another similar project in a small town near Cancún.
I´m fluent in English and Spanish, with more than 25 years of experience in designing, developing and maintaining information systems. I have held different high-level positions in I.T., Purchasing, Industrial Food Preparation and Administration in the tourism industry, in México, the U.S. and several Caribbean islands.
I am currently a free-lance business consultant with a bias towards computer systems but not limited to it. I have ample general knowledge of accounting, fiscal law in México, general law in México and the US, plus other areas related to business.
Currently divorced and rearing a sixteen year-old girl, my youngest daughter.
Recycling, re-using "garbage" to create new goods. Very interested in agriculture using new and old methods. New energy sources and "re-using" old ideas (windmills for example) to help conserve energy
Using old ideas with new materials and techniques to create / conserve energy.
Computers (willing to help). New energy sources. New and old agricultural methods. Politics in general (US, México and the rest of the World). Gardening.
Most people are not aware of the width and depth of my areas of interest: from astronomy to zoology.

A comment on Talk: Simon Sinek: How great leaders inspire action
Mr. Sinek stressed two points: 1) no one has heard of Samuel Pierpont Langley and 2) he quit after the success of the Wright brothers; both of which are, let’s be frank, lies.
1) Langley has quite a number of honors: NASA’s Langley Research Center, the Smithsonian Institute Langley Medal in Aviation and Space Exploration and the Langley Air Force Base are named after him, among many other honors.
2) He didn’t quit; never did quit. He kept on working on aeronautics and actually had legal trouble with the Wright brothers over certain patents they held on airplanes. He contributed quite a bit towards modern aviation thus all the honors.
Now, where’s the Wright Research Center? There is none. They weren’t very inspirational and contributed little after the first flight.
