Stéphane Deparis Posted over 1 year ago James Howard Kunstler: The ghastly tragedy of the suburbs "a nation that’s not worth defending [...] think about those young men and women who are over in places like Iraq spilling their blood in the sand, and ask yourself what is their last thought of home?" That statement sounds really indecent to me. Does the speaker really thinks that the US army is defending its country when it is killing civilians abroad, in an illegal war? Moreover, it is insane and very cynical to invoke this when talking about urbanism, when the US army actually destroyed so many cities. I was totally nauseated to hear the audience applaud to this sentence.
