Design, the sharing of ideas, beautiful things and learning about different cultures and religions.
I just happen to currently face in the university what I've called "The circle of mediocrity", in which students don't care if their professors are mediocre as long as it's easy to finish the course, and professors agree on passing mediocre students if it means less work at no extra trouble. I have also noticed that this is something not widely discussed, even among people who share my opinion. Please, whenever any of you see "The circle of mediocrity" start to take shape, denounce it and, by all means, be careful not to end up part of it.
