  • A reply on Talk: Steven Strogatz on sync

Jan 19 2012: Sync is not about God. Nothing is about God. God is a creation of human mind, just it.
  • A comment on Conversation: A world without religion, how will it really look?

Feb 16 2011: I think that your question should be a world with less religions or with less importance for religion in people's life. A world without religion is a theorical scenario.

The seek for a religion come from fear or a non understanding of something. But, always, there will be things to be discovery about life and death and always there will be doubt about this things in people's mind.

I think that the faith is the bad part of religions and is one of cause for intolerance. There are the spiritual part that is a good thing that can coexist with a rational mind.

Whether the world goes down this path, the religion will be changed but not should disappear.
  • A comment on Conversation: We spend 3 billion hours a week as a planet playing videogames. Is it worth it? How could it be MORE worth it?

Feb 16 2011: Nowadays, video gaming are a kind of virtual drug. Think about this:
    1. You can do things that you never do in real life or in your "normal" condition.
    2. Makes you very excited when you hears about a better "version".
    3. Makes you very depressed when you are prevented from playing.

Differently, traditional role playing games and several board games allow similar benefits, that is the part of results on research about video games, but without the side effects.

Similar to other drugs, there are political and economic interests behind the investments to keep us playing. This is not a conspiracy. This is just the result of the economy system.

For a RPG session you need a few people, a dice and lot of imagination. For a video game session you need a console, a DVD, a huge TV, a great sound system and a lot of games acessories.
  • A comment on Conversation: What was the most amazing social experience you had and why?

Feb 15 2011: I and some people of my company participate for charity in a brazilian association for orphan kids. We prepare some games for them. Each of us brought a especial and funny thing to them, like a clown costume, jump bags, etc. I brought some ballons that I used to make some ballon's pet. I had to learn to do this in one night through internet videos. This was amazing. The kids loved the games and we had fun a lot.
I thought it amazing because the experience has been more construtive to people who organized than for the kids.
