More About Me

I'm passionate about

Teaching English as a second language to adults that had assumed they'd reached their full professional and personal potencial and now have to reconsider their roles in a globalized world.

An idea worth spreading

Being able to communicate to people around the globe in real time, sharing ideas, influencing and being influenced is one of the greatest achivements of our era.
We already have the technology, but we either do not know how a foreign languague or in many cases we are too afraid of making mistakes and being criticized by our peers.
In order to have a globalized country we have to be global, we need to speak at least one more languague, maybe English could be the best investiment, but there are opportunities everywhere we look and at this moment we can't affort not to look everywhere.
Learning foreign languagues will help us not only communicarte more precisely, but also to make us more tolerant and understanding towards one another.
Learning foreign languagues is an idea worth spreading, the question is how can we teach everyone that can not afford it?

People don't know that I'm good at

fixing things, I am a real handy man. I myself dis the whole installation of my ofuro last month. What a small great personal victory.

My TED Story

I first heard of TED from a student of mine and got very interested right away, but the whole process changed drastically when I found out I could be part of it by translating talks into Portuguese.
Even though English is an universal language the majority of brazilians are not be able to understand the talks in English and would never have the chance to spread the ideas and influence people to consider pondering different points of view.
The ideas are too precious to be only in English and all the ted translators have been doing a wonderful job to help spreading the ideas globally.
Thanks for the iniciative.
