About Dom

Bio

Dom is a new-media scribe born in East Yorkshire who has completed a Masters in Magazine Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire. He is the National Diversity Award winner for Entrepreneurial Excellence in 2012. He also carried the Paralympic Flame for York in that year.

In 2013, based out of York, Dom runs his own online and print music magazine Soundsphere, and works as part of the Disabled Entrepreneurs and Creative Condition networks. He is also an Enterprise UK and NYBEP STEM Ambassador who has the opportunity to conduct regular workshops and talks around the country about entrepreneurship, media and journalism.

In 2011 and '12, he worked for York Council's Explore Media project along with his dedicated report work for YSJ Connect (at York St John University), York LINk, Digifish Media, Higher York, Treasures Revealed in West Yorkshire, Bar Lane Studios, the Yortime Web Surgeries and Galtres Festival.

In previous years, Dom has written for Rock Sound magazine, The Quietus, ReGen magazine, T3 magazine, NME.com, Stuff magazine, Metal Hammer magazine, 24seven Lifestyle magazine, Sandman magazine, Live&Love York magazine (now One&Other), York Press newspaper, Hull Daily Mail newspaper, PLUTO newspaper, KhaoZ Media, RockLouder, Rock Radio Manchester, ClickMusic, Sprung Media, Rough Guides, The Yorkshire Mafia and others.
