A reply on Conversation: WHAT IF your top 5 personal ideas met collaborative action, write here. A TED BUCKET LIST of ideas worth spreading w/ angels in the wings.

Sep 11 2011: I love your Bucket list numbers 1,2 and 5. The second one had me reflecting for a good half hour with its profoundness. Although I guess, it had me on pause because my list is somewhat akin to what you have. But your second one is beautiful especially after considering the first one. We want to bring the light and be the light. Yet somehow, there should be a proper time to dim your lights a bit so as to see the light of others and allow that light to shine some more so that together, later on, you can light an even bigger space.

Jul 25 2010: hazardous material removal..that's indeed one very very good application for this one.
  • A comment on Talk: Kevin Bales: How to combat modern slavery

Mar 30 2010: Kevin Bales didn't present his cause and POV in a dramatic and emotional way (albeit he gave a powerful talk!) and yet I was heartbroken and moved to tears with his talk. Indeed this was an eye opener - about how there is still slavery even now in the 21st century and of how we can help give that big push in eradicating slavery. I remember back in University, we had symposiums on child labor here in the Philippines. Even up to now, there are still news on TV about women finding themselves on the flesh trade when it was decent work that was promised them when they were recruited in the mountains. I personally have no direct connections, don't know of anyone whom I could snare with their trafficking. But I guess it all starts with the awareness. And then, keeping our eyes open.

A reply on Talk: Cat Laine: Engineering a better life for all

Mar 28 2010: I so totally agree Colleen and Scalino. For Cat to be able to keep a positive outlook and high spirits despite being exposed and working with suffering and poverty is really admirable. I do think, that lending a hand and doing purposeful work eventually boomerangs the effect to the one who does the helping. That is, the helper turns out to live a more purposeful and rewarding life and ergo, are happier people.

  • A comment on Talk: Jose Antonio Abreu: The El Sistema music revolution

May 7 2009: really inspiring and moving..Was moved both by what he was saying and by how he said it - all that passion! Makes you think of your own dreams...and if any of those dreams can make this place a better world
