    Jun 20 2012: That's a really nice way to tell a story!
  • A comment on Talk: Marco Tempest: The magic of truth and lies (and iPods)

A comment on Talk: Patrick Chappatte: The power of cartoons

Oct 22 2010: These cartoons contain very powerful messages. We laugh about some of them because reality is really absurd. Still, a good cartoon is able to convey such absurdity in a way that we recognize and appreciate.
  • A comment on Talk: Ze Frank's web playroom

Oct 15 2010: One of the first things I did when I got back from TEDGlobal 2010 was downloading the song by Ray. Ze has many great projects, take a look at www.zefrank.com.
  • A comment on Talk: Natalie Jeremijenko: The art of the eco-mindshift

Oct 15 2010: Very creative. I especially like the solar chimney, because it reduces ecological problems by improving how the sun influences our planet.

A comment on Talk: Stefano Mancuso: The roots of plant intelligence

Oct 12 2010: I wonder how we as humans actually differ from other animals and from plants, instead of how we assume we are different. I never saw this much evidence of plant intelligence before.
  • A reply on Talk: Steve Jurvetson on model rocketry

Oct 10 2010: That's a great hobby, hearing you talk about it is exciting and the photos you make are breathtakingly beautiful and captivating.

A reply on Talk: Eben Bayer: Are mushrooms the new plastic?

Oct 5 2010: Your talk is great, mycelium is amazing and it's really bad that styrofoam is used as often as it is. I was looking at your website (www.ecovativedesign.com) and I'm wondering about three things: Can you also make it look different (smoother and different colors)? How does the material feel? Can entrepreneurs who are interested in starting such facilities somewhere get guidelines on how to manage such a facility (to know which processes are involved, which machines are needed and what's essential to being successful in working with mycelium)?
  • A comment on Talk: Sebastian Seung: I am my connectome

Sep 29 2010: Connectomes are very interesting and the visuals are amazing. Sebastian is funny and he explains things in a clear way. I especially like that "the connectome is where nature meets nurture" and the metaphor he uses is great.

He even involves philosophy into his talk. Not only by saying an important statement for the youth: 'I am more than my jeans' (everyone is many things, so you could even replace that with something that doesn't sound like "genes"), but also by considering the most extreme implication of the hypothesis. A great talk!
  • A comment on Talk: Mitchell Besser: Mothers helping mothers fight HIV

Sep 28 2010: The idea of using Mentor Mothers is great and it's a good thing that they take a lot of things into consideration (for example: using bank accounts for the mothers), because there are still several of aspects that need to be improved.
