Why some knowledge cannot be accumulated like scientific knowledge?
Hi Natasha, You provided a very very interesting point of view. Just like you said, knowledge has its own carriers. Just like today's education system and school are better at developing and passing down scientific knowledge, there are many other systems and institutions that are good at passing down social and philosophical knowledge, such as oral tradition and poetry. However, we have abandoned those systems today and this is one reason that why those knowledge cannot be accumulated.

Why some knowledge cannot be accumulated like scientific knowledge?
Yes. It seems to me that some social philosophical problems are repeated again and again for thousands of years and knowledge of how to solve those problems are never passed down, not like scientific knowledge. For example, no one would say that Earth is the center of the universe today. However, government still corrupt, different countries still fight against each other, philosophers still argue about the same problem for thousands of years. It seems to me that those problems are just repeating themselves over and over again and people never learn from them.

how do you think we can better utilize our intellectual capabilities in this modern age?
Hi William: I think that you are right about the problem of our education system. However, the most important question is HOW to solve the problem. The world is not small and we have used this education system for more than one hundred years, in what way can we change the system? Moreover, education system is not independent from political and economical system. Which system should be the first to change in order to have the best effect?

What is the best way a student can make his/her education less stressful?
Being a college student, I think that stress comes from many different things, such as peer pressure, family pressure, and self-blaming. Thus, there are also several ways to reduce stress depended on different origins of stress. For example, if one is stressful because of peer pressure, he can try some meditation and find his position in the world instead of the position compared to others.

Does lacking physical beauty actually degrades ones confidence?
Hi Satish, I think that beauty does not degrade ones confidence. However, beauty does degrade something, that is pride. I think that confidence comes from self control. My logic is that when we have confidence about someone else, it is usually because he is responsible and keep his promises. Thus, when we have confidence about ourselves, it also usually comes from self control: do what we should do instead of what we want to do. Therefore, confidence comes from how we view ourselves.Pride, on the other hand, is very different but also very similar to confidence. I think that it comes from how other people view us instead of how we view ourselves. Thus, all things like beauty, wealth, and intelligence can affect our pride because they will all have an effect on how other people view us.

What do you think are the TOP 3 personal issues that stop an individual from pursuing their life purpose and developing their talents?
Sara, Colleen, and Eliana, Thanks for your replies! As Colleen said, if we all view failures as an opportunity to grow, life will be so different. And I totally agree with Eliana's 2 reasons for why we tend to over blame ourselves. I also want to add one more thing about why we tend to over blame ourselves. It is because that we view reality as an enemy instead of a friend. When we pursue our dreams, we tend to view current reality(We are lazy, do not have enough capital, do not have a good education, etc) as an enemy to stop us from pursuing our dreams. Thus, it becomes normal that we feel as a loser when we lose since we are defeated by our enemy. However, if we view reality as a friend, the problem will be totally different. In fact, reality is really a friend on our roads to achieve dreams. It is a friend to let us know how badly we want something, and a friend to let us know how important our dreams are, and a friend to let us know what we should do to achieve our dreams. It is simply not an enemy to stop us, but a friend to remind us that we have dreams, and we want to achieve our dreams no matter what. As Randy Pausch said: "The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough. They’re there to stop the other people."
