Marina Gascho Posted over 1 year ago What's the difference between intelligence and imagination, and which is more useful in alleviating the human condition? Knowledge is a collection of facts. Intelligence is our ability to understand and process knowledge. Imagination is our ability to achieve new insight by recombining/reorganizing information. It is based on what we already know and understand. To answer the question, I believe imagination is critical. Yes, we need intelligence to understand our problems, but imagination gives us access to a wider range of possible solutions. Most important we need wisdom and KINDNESS, because as history shows, new is not always good.
