A comment on Talk: Liu Bolin: The invisible man

3 days ago: I think what the artist trying to say is that all these political propoganda, food safety issues that's been unfortunitely happening in China reflect social deficit of this country where the benefit of ordinary citizens are largely neglected. Driven by ambition or economic reasons, personal responsibility for others in these crucial livelihood has been eroded and the artist cries for help and possible solution through his work

A comment on Talk: Amy Cuddy: Your body language shapes who you are

3 days ago: Definitely a firm believer of the "fake it till you make it" assertion and I speak from my previous 7 years of experience since I graduated from high school. I've since begun to transfer myself from this nervous quiet girl to an outspoken and confident profesisonal by forcing myself to put myself on the line and force myself to raise my hand without thinking and speak. I still get the feeling every now and then that 'I don't belong here' or 'I can't not do this', but I believe I have internalise what I want to be into what I am right this moment. So I will definitely try this power-posing measure in future and hopefully this could help me get a little further.

A comment on Talk: Amanda Palmer: The art of asking

Mar 2 2013: Simply love it! Such a genuinely touching story, her story and the depiction of her life so far is such an inspiration for me to keep on trusting strangers and always having faith in people.
  • A comment on Talk: Sugata Mitra: Build a School in the Cloud

Mar 2 2013: Fabulous idea and forward thinking! However it's not unfamiliar because self-organized learning is applying to all the adults out of school for wanting to "know" things. But is SOLE only suitable for "Knowing" instead of "Learning", as learning something and be an expert for it requires tremendous curiosity for the subject that I doubt the encouragement alone could suffice. Also the participation level of the kids may determine the effect of SOLE, deficience of participation may result in inefficiency of SOLE. I may want to read the research of Sugata to get more out of it than the talk provides...
  • A comment on Talk: JR's TED Prize wish: Use art to turn the world inside out

Mar 9 2011: I'd always believed in art for art's sake, but now I believe that the strength of art being able to touch everyone's heart and really push the world to the better place is what art really about. Just as JR said, the world is a terrible place already and nothing we can really do about it, perhaps art and humanity is what we're really left with to try to perceive the world we're living in a better way. Best of wishes for these projects, they're really inspring and I would love to be part of it.

A comment on Talk: Paul Bennett finds design in the details

Aug 10 2010: everyone knows that we need to put ourselves in other's shoes when dealing with problems but few really achieves that. I believe it should be built on the premise that we admit that what others think is reasonable instead of imagining ourselves as savior to others problem or misery. Exist is reasonable.
  • A comment on Talk: Stephen Wolfram: Computing a theory of everything

Jun 10 2010: What a exciting talk! It has brought computational technology to a brand new level, I'm looking forward to its updates and how it will evolve into a system that could help bring knowledge to human, let's just see where it goes.
  • A comment on Talk: Elizabeth Gilbert: Your elusive creative genius

Aug 14 2009: It has been such an inspiration to me in my hardest time as I feel like completely useless and helpless. And now i believe as long as I keep on trying, genius will come to me, and I will be qualified to own anything it brings with.
