What is the purpose of going to school?
The Purpose of education should be to provide you with knowledge that is relevant to achieve success. there are allot of assumptions here: what is relevant. what is success. when have you achieved it. knowing facts will not help you much. I dont know what you learn in school there but i dont think learning africas history will help. i dont think learning americas history will help. I dont think learning about capitalism will help. I think that developing your character is what matters most right now, because you're in a nation that's plagued by despair. Being a leader goes a long way. Providing relevant information goes a long way. Your education should entail being very creative and finding the best ways to add value to your local area. it might not be capital, it might not be motivation. But noone has the answers for Africa. You're culture holds the answer.

Would a large network of small telescopes equal one large telescope?
I agree. at these sensitivities even a minute gust of wind or temp fluctuations and even gravity humidity ect would be impossible to account for the 'noise' for even one telescope through our atmosphere at these distances. I wonder if computing facts from say 4 Hubble telescopes could allow us to see further! though it is my understanding that the problem is not distance, but breadth. we can only scan tiny pinpoints in the sky at any one time

Are we too smart for this universe?
If you are not confused it is because you do not have in depth knowledge of the reality of our universe. read the book: "Godel Escher Bach an eternal golden braid". When we master time travel we'll give Archimedes a copy. That's when we're really too smart. when we beat the death of the universe, the death of our sun. we can keep cycling back through time over and over compacting indefinitely the rate of technological advance.

Are we too smart for this universe?
We are too smart for this universe when we build spacecraft that can travel faster than the speed of light. the natural laws being in such an arrangement that we could construct a number system that can be geometrically represented with spacial symmetry was a godsend. i.e. 1 10 100 1000 10000. That was the training wheels for our technological development and we still haven't moved past that. when computers can multiply concepts to understand what humans find merit in, without sampling or surveying, we will be off of training wheels. Flying (REACHING the speed of light) is still a long ways off. exceeding the speed of light, which newton called impossible.. may very well be so

What do you think of the Social Contract?
the social contract is the contract stating "i live in THIS geographical location, i swear to abide by all rules imposed by the source of political power in this region". the concept is crucial for a developed society to be. i think what need be changed or paced behind amendments to the constitution is the values each law defends so that, should any other law stand closer that value we shall adopt it if it doesn't impose on the freedom of our citizens. an example of a value would be maintaining a certain ratio of voting power between individuals and corporations. or keeping government simple. building the core competence of the public etc
