Solution to unoccupied stores, shops and commercial property during the recession
If all is well, why are there 1000's of empty commercial properties in out high streets in the UK, town centers have become ghost towns. If the landlord charge the entrepreneur a percentage of profit until the full rent amount were viable, it would be in the landlords interest to promote and select viable business ventures. As it is, we are stuck with an archaic system, where impossibly high fees are charged, businesses fail, our high streets are empty and the landlords receive no income. It requires an innovative and radical approach to revitalize our town centers.

Diana Nyad: Never, ever give up
We need many more people like this in society. Charismatic leadership, to guide and lead our youth and local communities. Not in high places and in the media, but in local communities and local Government, especially inner city areas. Alas it can't be taught in a University classroom, we need people with natural aptitude.

Should the US convene a new Constitutional Convention to hammer out the US Constitution, Version 2? How could we make it better?
Actually I think Americans get glazed wistful eyes when you mention the founding fathers. If I were to quote what an old guy said 200 years ago in a UK court, I would be laughed out of court in the UK. Definitely think, a country based on what some cowboys said two hundred years ago, definitely needs to take a second look. However, that would be like going to Iran and burning the Qur'an for the average gun toting Christian conservative American.

Is a classical education, a prerequisite for innovation?
Perhaps also, the function of a university and or classical education is not merely to learn? But also to connect people? That is to say that, University degrees open doors for innovative people? Clearly, certain types of innovation require such social connections, whereas, innovation per se in general, does not require and standard eduction entry point, but is certainly required for industrial or medical and many other forms of innovation? But that also, innovative people, come from all walks of life, social class, and education attainment? Richard Branson being a prime example, having left school a 15 and also suffering from dyslexia.
