A reply on Talk: Klaus Stadlmann: The worldâs smallest 3D printer

Mar 11 2012: You don't have to be professional 3D graphic designer to make simple objects. There are many free software like:

    http://sketchup.google.com/

    http://www.123dapp.com/

    http://www.blender.org/

You can also design 3D objects in your web browser:

Jan 28 2012: Makibox will probably cost 300 dollars but it is still a project in progress: http://blog.makible.com/94652303 Another new 3D Printer project can be found here: http://www.buildlog.net/blog/2012/01/the-quantum-ord-bot/#comment-2590. It is quite fresh but very interesting and neat (unfortunately they don't have a kit in offer). You can buy full kits of 3D Printers on this websites but prices starts at 499 dollars: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/printrbot/printrbot-your-first-3d-printer?ref=card, http://www.emakershop.com/browse/listing?l=167, http://www.indiegogo.com/SUMPOD-3D-PRINTER, http://botmill.com/index.php/3d-printers.html or http://store.makerbot.com/thing-o-matic-kit-mk7.html

Dec 17 2011: Klaus is a Part of 3D revo! If you want to design some 3D stuff and get your own 3D printout by mail visit these webpages: http://www.ponoko.com/, http://i.materialise.com/. http://reprap.org/wiki/Main_Page is a fantastic project and the costs of hardware in my opinion will be much lower pretty soon.

This talk is so inspire-full. What would happen if we would be able to use small army of intelligent 3D printers (moving, flying or swimming robots) to build large objects like buildings, bridges, flood barriers... This list is endless. This will have tremendous impact on our reality. Thanks Klaus for sharing the idea!
